Senior Product Designer - GitHub, Figma

We’re the buffer between clients and service-oriented small businesses, an area known as “lead qualification,” which is a lot more exciting than it sounds. We help the best service-oriented Small & Medium Businesses a.k.a. “SMB” (law firms, wealth management, IT consultants, marketers, and more) run better businesses, and our customers love us. It’s a huge market — 30M SMB in the US alone. While others are laying off in this new COVID world, we’re growing. We work our magic through a “human in the loop” AI + Receptionist system to handle their calls and chats, with funnels optimized for their industries and businesses.

We’re remote, and we’ve been that way since 2015. We’ve been generating revenue since day one, and our business has grown significantly. Our founders are early Google, Apple, Mint/Intuit, and we have a culture of “engineering is the product,” ruthless prioritization, honest communication, and respect. We build stuff very, very quickly (people who don’t fit can’t keep up — if you like to ship, you’ll like it here) with lots of customer input, and we subscribe to the Eames’ quote, “Innovate as a last resort.”

As a Senior Product Designer, you will shape and ship features of our product and internal tools, with a primary focus on growing our AI-first, human-in-the-loop Voice Assistant. (Recent examples include Creating a simple yet powerful set of options for controlling AI voice conversations and building out a suite of reporting tools for AI + human performance metrics.) You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, balancing design fidelity and resourcing with business objectives. You'll be part of a small team, working collaboratively with the entire company.

RESPONSIBILITIES •Collaborate: Partner with founders, Product & Ops teams, customer support, and marketing to design and implement new products/features. •Facilitate Cross-Functional Teamwork: Initiate and focus on collaboration across engineering, marketing, support, and operations teams. •Drive Project Execution: Oversee projects through completion and follow through with warranty work. •Define Requirements: Contribute to product definition and requirements to shape development. •Build the Design System: Support and grow the fledgling design system to ensure consistency and scalability. •Document for Engineering: Record design decisions and prepare work for engineering.

Must have •Fluent in English, comfortable having live video conversations and presenting/discussing work. The engineering team primarily speaks Spanish, but the rest of the org operates in English. •5+ years in Product Design roles •Experience in startups (Seed to Series B) •Successful team-based remote work environment experience (e.g., Slack, Teams) •Adept in Figma (our design tool of choice) and have used project management and development tools (e.g., ClickUp, GitHub). •Proven success in different stages of the product lifecycle, from shaping to execution to refinement. •An understanding of prompt engineering, and utilizing other AI mechanisms & tools Nice to have •Product management experience within B2B Product-focussed organizations SaaS, AI/ML, or SMB-focused product experience.
