Work for fast-growing US startups
When companies need to quickly scale engineering their engineering teams, they turn to Terminal. The companies we work with are committed to building fully integrated teams of remote engineers, and they’re looking for engineers who are excited about joining a team that’s building the most innovative products of today.
All Terminal engineering roles are 100% remote
US engineering teams work with Terminal to hire outside of the US as we are set up in 7 tech hotspots to legally employ, pay, and onboard both full-time and contract employees. How? Terminal acts as an Employer of Record, meaning we hire engineers on behalf of our customers. You join an elite engineering team and we take care of the logistics like payroll, benefits, and remote IT support.
How Terminal Works
FAQ
Are you a recruiting agency?
No. Terminal supports its partners in recruiting engineers for their teams, but we also remain your legal employer in your home country and provide support for as long as you’re employed. This allows US companies to hire developers outside of the US, while also offering developers the flexibility of 100% remote work in either full-time or contract roles
Will I be working as a contractor?
You decide whether you are open to taking contract roles, full-time roles, or both. Contract roles are fully supported by Terminal and frequently offer contract-to-hire paths. Full-time roles receive the benefits that come along with that status in your home country, such as country-specific holidays and severance requirements. These laws and benefits vary from country to country.
Who will I work for?
You will be employed by Terminal in your country of residence, but your work will be 100% dedicated to the partner company you’re hired by. While Terminal handles all of your contracts and benefits, you will be embedded in an engineering team with the startup that you’ve accepted a role with. We often hear from our partners and engineers that our hires feel no different from US employees.
What kind of benefits will I get?
Benefits for full-time roles can vary slightly between our partner companies, but standard benefits include healthcare benefits (like dental and vision), a remote workspace budget, and paid vacation time. Contract roles are generally ineligible for benefits.
Where do you hire?
We currently hire anywhere in Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Poland, Spain, Hungary, and Romania. Depending on the needs of each partner company, they may select one of all of these locations. You will only be matched with roles that are available in your country of residence
Will you be launching in new countries?
As of right now, we are staying focused on hiring engineers in Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Poland, Spain, Hungary and Romania. We intentionally chose these countries based on a number of factors, including time zone alignment with the US and Europe development centers. By keeping all of our roles aligned with time zones, you get to collaborate with your US or EU teams in real-time.
What are your salaries?
Just like a typical hiring process, salaries are set based on a number of factors and vary from role to role. Each offer is unique to the partner company, the role, and the candidate
